Chris Sims is a partner at EQUITY. Chris leads EQUITY's public company investments and is Chairman of the Board for Create a Loop.

Chris is an accomplished professional with a strong background in strategic business development, sales management, and leadership. With over 25 years of experience in the technology and software industry, Chris has consistently delivered exceptional results and driven revenue growth for organizations including as the Chief Marketing Officer for Answers.com.

Chris is a dynamic leader known for his collaborative leadership style, excellent communication skills, and ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Washington University and is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth and success.

David Karandish

David is a partner at EQUITY and Cofounder & CEO of Capacity – an enterprise artificial intelligence SaaS company headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Capacity’s secure, AI-native support automation platform helps teams do their best work.

Prior to starting Capacity, David was the CEO of Answers Corp. He and his business partner, Chris Sims, started the parent company of Answers in 2006 and sold it to a private equity firm in 2014 for north of $900m. David sits on the boards of Create a Loop (a computer science education non-profit tackling the digital divide by teaching kids to code) and Prepare.ai (a non-profit providing educational resources and strategic guidance about Artificial Intelligence to individuals, communities, and companies).

David was also an early investor and board member at Nerdy (NYSE: NRDY), an on-demand, real-time learning platform in the ed tech space. David lives in St. Louis with his wife, Erin, and four kids. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Washington University. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing ukulele.
